"Rosie's Crew/Thorpe Abbotts 1943" is the ideal piece for all who have been wanting Gil's previous B-17 piece "Coming Home 1943" which is sold out and very expensive on the aftermarket. This print is a similarily classic portrait of an 8th Air Force B-17 and crew, in this case, the legendary Robert Rosenthal of the 100th Bomb Group briefing his crew prior to takeoff. "Rosie's Riveters" was the only B-17 of the 100th to return from the infamous Munster mission on October 10, 1943. Incredibly, Rosenthal brought his wounded crew back and landed safely at Thorpe Abbots with two engines shot out. Surviving many other harrowing flights including a crash landing in France and being shot down over Berlin on his 52nd mission, he became an attorney after the war and was assistant prosecutor at the Nuremburg War Crimes Trials.

Artist Gil Cohen worked personally with Rosenthal to painstakingly create the original painting; he feels this is his best print release yet. Each of the 900 prints in the edition has been personally signed by the artist AND by Robert "Rosie" Rosenthal. This edition will certainly sell out repidly - order your copy of "Rosie's Crew/Thorpe Abbotts 1943" TODAY!
